TOPIC PAPERS / WORKING GROUPS – FOR DISCUSSION

It is proposed that the Canada Water Consultative Forum (CWCF) in Association with London Borough of Southwark prepare a Brief to achieve the sustainable development of the land around Canada Water. The Brief would be used to advise and assist future consultants and or developers. It is suggested that the brief be broken down into the following 7 Topic Papers (no longer than 1-2 pages) :-

1. Built Environment / Community Safety
2. Transport
3. Housing
4. Education / Lifelong Learning
5. Enterprise / Economic Development / Employment
6. Environment / Leisure / Health / Youth
7. Social Inclusion

It is intended that these Topic Papers be holistic in their approach, outlining the broad concerns and objectives. As a Development Working Group has been formed, an option would be for this group to consider the Topic Papers accordingly. Any interested party from the Forum could attend relevant sessions to provide input and further to this the Working Group could be addressed by expert consultants, to provide guidance and possible solutions.
