1 Consideration was given to the outcomes of the meeting.

These were agreed as

  1. Define the role of the DWG
  2. Agree a work programme for the DWG
2 It was agreed that members of the group would have different objectives and this was accepted as not being an obstacle to the groups work.
3 It was agreed that the groups primary function would be to look at the principles/parameters of future development.
4 It was agreed that consideration should be given to
  1. How technical expertise could be incorporated into the process.
  2. How the planning for real would feed into the DWG
  3. The reporting process to the Forum and how to make the process transparent.
5 SB gave a presentation on the UDP review process, the Mayor’s Spatial Development Plan and sustainable development.
6 Consideration was given to the tasks to be undertaken in the next meeting. It was agreed that each member of the group would express their desires for the area and common ground would be explored and pressure points noted.
